Questions

Before you book the first call

The questions we hear most, from buyers, sellers, landlords and homeowners.

What does a closing cost with you?

Our buyer closing fee and our seller fee are both flat for a single-family home or townhouse. We quote the fee in writing before you hire us, and it doesn't change unless the file turns into something else, which we'd tell you first.

What isn't in your fee?

Title insurance, recording fees, excise tax, lender charges, surveys and agents' commissions are set or charged by others. They're listed separately on your settlement statement.

What if my closing falls through?

You don't owe our closing fee. Costs we've already paid out for you, such as a title search or a survey we ordered, are still owed, and we'll show you the receipts.

Is the first call really free?

Yes. Twenty minutes with a lawyer about your situation, with no bill afterward. If we can't help, we'll say so and point you to someone who can.

Can we sign on a Saturday?

Yes, Saturday mornings by appointment at our office. Jun will find a time that works for everyone at the table.

How do I know wire instructions are real?

We never send wire instructions by email alone. Jun calls you with them, and you can call us back on the number on this site to check before you send anything.

Do you only work in Raleigh?

We close in Wake, Durham, Johnston, Orange, Chatham and Franklin counties, and review contracts for clients farther out by video.

Will I talk to a lawyer or an assistant?

A lawyer handles your first call and reads your contract. Jun handles scheduling and paperwork, and keeps you posted between calls.

Still wondering if you need a lawyer for this?

Ask on the free first call. If you don't, we'll tell you.
