Real estate lawyers in downtown Raleigh

Four faces, one closing table, and your keys

Two partners, an associate and a closing coordinator, buying, selling and sorting out homes across the Triangle. You'll know every name on your file before the contract is signed.

  • Coretta Lassiter, a smiling woman with long curly hair in a navy blazer and white top, against a dark blue backdrop
  • Farhan Lakhani, a bearded man with glasses in a teal blazer, arms crossed, against a dark blue backdrop
  • Blythe Pender, a smiling woman with short hair in a white shirt and jeans, hands on her hips, against a navy backdrop
  • Jun Ishida, a smiling young man with glasses in a navy double-breasted blazer, leaning on one knee, against a blue-grey backdrop

If your sale or purchase doesn't close, you don't owe our closing fee. Costs we've already paid out for you, such as a title search or a survey we ordered, are still owed, and title insurance, recording fees and excise tax are always separate from our fee.

The whole office

Four people, and what each of them does

There's no call center behind them. These four are the whole office, and one of them answers when you ring.

Landlords, small investors and every 1031 exchange that comes through the door.

  • Blythe Pender, a smiling woman with short hair in a white shirt and jeans, hands on her hips, against a navy backdrop

    Blythe Pender

    Associate

First-time buyers and HOA fights, in English or Spanish.

  • Jun Ishida, a smiling young man with glasses in a navy double-breasted blazer, leaning on one knee, against a blue-grey backdrop

    Jun Ishida

    Closing coordinator

Chases the payoff letters, books the signing and texts you the wire instructions by phone, never email.

What we take on

Four kinds of file cross our desks every week

Each one has its own lawyer who knows it best, and its own page with the fee and the steps.

  • Buying a home

We read the offer before you sign it, run the title, and sit beside you at closing.

    How buying works
  • Selling a home

Payoffs, the deed, the seller's side of the settlement statement, and a clean handoff of the keys.

    How selling works
  • 1031 exchanges

For landlords trading one rental for the next, with the 45- and 180-day dates on our calendar too.

    How an exchange works
  • HOA disputes

Fines, liens, architectural denials and assessments, read against the covenants you actually signed.

From the closing table

What people told us once the keys changed hands

“Blythe caught a drainage easement across the back yard two days before we signed. We renegotiated instead of finding out the hard way.”

Marisa T.Bought a house in Garner

“Farhan had the replacement property deadline on his calendar before I did. The exchange closed with a week to spare.”

Deon W.Traded a duplex in Durham

“We signed on a Saturday morning with the kids in the next room. Jun had every page flagged.”

Priya and Sam K.Sold a townhouse in Cary

Sample notes from clients. Every sale and purchase is different, and these don't promise the same result on yours.
