Coretta Lassiter, a smiling woman with long curly hair in a navy blazer and white top, against a dark blue backdrop

Coretta Lassiter

Founding partner

Coretta founded the firm and leads its title work and home closings.

Coretta spent her first years as a lawyer closing loans for a bank, sitting on the lender's side of hundreds of kitchen-table signings. She opened the firm to sit on the other side.

She takes the files nobody else wants: a missing heir in the chain of title, a driveway that crosses the neighbor's line, a deed signed by the wrong person in 1987.

Why Coretta reads the whole chain of title

A title search tells you who owns a house today. Coretta reads back far enough to see how they came to own it, because that's where the surprises live.

Most files are clean. When one isn't, she'd rather tell you during due diligence, while you can still walk away, than at the closing table.
